Avalue RIVAR-1539 is a 15.6-inch fanless industrial panel PC powered by an Intel N150 Twin Lake processor

Avalue’s RIVAR-1539 brings the efficient Intel N150 Twin Lake quad-core processor to a 15.6-inch fanless panel PC with IP65 front protection, dual Gigabit Ethernet, and extensive I/O for kiosk and HMI applications.

CNX Software has covered Avalue Technology’s latest all-in-one touch computer, the RIVAR-1539. It’s a 15.6-inch industrial panel PC built around the new Intel N150 quad-core Twin Lake processor, marking one of the first times this 6W chip has appeared in a fanless panel format. The system targets self-ordering kiosks, digital signage, queue management, and smart counter deployments in retail, healthcare, and public spaces.

A Twin Lake heart for industrial touchscreens

The N150 inside the RIVAR-1539 runs at a base clock of 800 MHz and can turbo up to 3.6 GHz with 6 MB of cache. Graphics are handled by 24 execution units of Intel UHD at 1.0 GHz, enough for the 2D and light 3D content typical of HMI and menu boards. That’s all passively cooled, so there are no moving parts to worry about.

The display is a 1920×1080 LED panel rated at 350 cd/m² brightness with a 1500:1 contrast ratio and 89° viewing angles in all directions. Touch is via a 10-point projected capacitive controller, and the entire front bezel carries an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance — useful when wiping down public-use surfaces.

Built for the front lines of retail and healthcare

Avalue positions the RIVAR-1539 as a POS-ready terminal that can handle edge computing tasks. The rear I/O includes:

  • 2× Gigabit Ethernet (Realtek RTL8125BG controllers)
  • 4× USB 3.0 ports
  • 1× Line-out audio jack
  • A +24V DC input (60W adapter included)

Internal expansion supports optional WiFi 5 (802.11ac) and Bluetooth 5.0, giving integrators wireless flexibility. The plastic chassis measures 390 × 247 × 42 mm and comes in black or white, keeping it adaptable for different interior designs.

Software compatibility spans Windows 10, Windows 11, and Linux, making it easy to deploy on existing IT infrastructure. The operating temperature range is 0°C to 40°C, with storage tolerance from -10°C to 60°C. Vibration and shock resistance follow IEC standards (1.5 Grms random vibration, 10 Grms half-sine shock).

A step forward from Alder Lake-N panels

Earlier industrial panel PCs like the Jetway P150CDN1 (Intel N97) and Avalue’s own VNS-10WAD (Intel N50) used the preceding Alder Lake-N generation. The RIVAR-1539 swaps in the newer Twin Lake N150, offering similar core count but with architectural refinements that can benefit always-on embedded systems. Pricing and availability aren’t public yet, but the product page is live for those evaluating next-generation touch solutions.
